Standing atop the mound, a person can see the central section of downtown Macon, Georgia.

The similarities between Macon, Georgia and ancient Babel are not coincidental. They are intentional.
The Bible tells us that Nimrod founded the city of Babel, and the next chapter (Genesis 11) informs
us that the people conspired together to build up the city and a tower.
