Joshua 1:1-5
Yahweh spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' servant, saying, "Moses My
servant is dead; now therefore arise, cross this Jordan, you and all this
people, to the land which I am giving to them, to the sons of Israel. Every
place on which the sole of your foot treads, I have given it to you, just as I
spoke to Moses. From the wilderness and this Lebanon, even as far as the
great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and as far as the
Great Sea toward the setting of the sun will be your territory. No man will
be able to stand before you all the days of your life.”

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?
Romans 8:37

situation of the Christian.

Romans 8:10-11
If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is
alive because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Yahshua
from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Yahshua from the dead
will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in
you.
When we come to Christ our bodies are very much like the land of Canaan.
God waited to dispossess the Canaanites until their sin had reached its fulness.
When all the inhabitants of the land were completely given over to sin, then He
said it was time for Israel to go in and conquer the land.
In the same way, the land of our flesh has fallen completely under the
influence of sin. The result of sin is death, therefore God declares that “the body is
dead because of sin.” Yet the promise is given to those who have been joined with
