1960s Moon Landing Simulator
At NASA’s Langley Research Center they built a Lunar Excursion Module Simulator. Note that in
the multiple exposure image of this simulator, it is demonstrated that by use of a giant overhead
gantry, NASA was able to simulate both horizontal and vertical motion of the lunar module. It would
make a perfect prop for a faked lunar landing, as well as a take-off from the Moon’s surface.
