in Ezekiel 28 and Isaiah 14. This occurred prior to the creation of man during the initial creation of
the earth. It was then that Satan was cast down to the earth and the world was made formless and void
and sealed in darkness. How long the earth lay in this state and Satan remained in confinement, we
are not told. Yet the time came when Yahweh released Satan from his prison and refashioned the
world in six days as it is recorded in the opening chapter of the Bible.

Satan will know a second judgment at the end of this age, before the millennial reign of Christ begins.

Revelation 12:7-9
And there was war in heaven, Michael and his angels waging war with the dragon. And the dragon
and his angels waged war, and they were not strong enough, and there was no longer a place found
for them in heaven. And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil
and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were
thrown down with him.

Revelation 20:1-3
And I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his
hand. And he laid hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him
for a thousand years, and threw him into the abyss, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he
should not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were completed; after these things
he must be released for a short time.

Satan will once again be released for a brief time from his imprisonment. He will gather the nations
to a final war against Christ and will be thoroughly defeated and cast into the lake of fire.

Revelation 20:7-10
And when the thousand years are completed, Satan will be released from his prison, and will come
out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them
together for the war; the number of them is like the sand of the seashore. And they came up on the
broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, and fire came
down from heaven and devoured them. And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake
of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day
and night to the age of the ages.

Thus will end the rebellious career of this anointed cherub.
