Word of God to suggest it is doing so. Following are two renderings of this same passage from the
New American Standard, and the New King James Version of the Bible, both of which have done a
better job of conveying the correct meaning of this passage.

Isaiah 45:6-7
I am the LORD, and there is no other,
The One forming light and creating darkness,
Causing well-being and creating calamity;
I am the LORD who does all these.

It is great error to teach that Yahweh is the author of moral evil. The claim that Yahweh created Satan
evil in his original form is false. Yahweh is holy and righteous in all His ways.

Revelation 4:8
And the four living creatures, each one of them having six wings, are full of eyes around and within;
and day and night they do not cease to say, "Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God, the Almighty, who was
and who is and who is to come."

Leviticus 20:26
"Thus you are to be holy to Me, for I Yahweh am holy; and I have set you apart from the peoples to
be Mine.”

Psalms 99:9
Exalt Yahweh our God and worship at His holy hill, for holy is Yahweh our God.

Psalms 145:17
Yahweh is righteous in all His ways...
