The dinosaur skeleton in the foreground of the picture above is a Mamenchisaurus. There have been
a number of skeletal remains of this dinosaur species found throughout China, the earliest being
discovered in Sichuan Province in 1952 during construction of a highway. This massive earth
roaming creature in its adulthood reached an astonishing 115 feet in length. The graphic below
compares the various fossil remains of a number of different age Mamenchisaurus specimens that
have been discovered, providing a comparison to the size of man.
